left for the bridge today...
when we got up this morning
he let us know that it had simply become too hard
to stay with us any longer.
it was a beautiful afternoon,
he spent some special time with dad, enjoyed a binzo-bone,
said good-bye to his girl jeni...
and with mom holding him under the silver maples,
his wise old soul slipped from his tired body
and rode on the breeze to the bridge...
you were not with us long enough bud,
and we will love and remember you
forever.
